Oh! Ellisburg Circle was down where Playdrome bowling center was?? I lived in Maple Shade for a while.

Jughandles... hehe That seems to be a Jersey thing. They work! It's just messed up if I approach for a left turn, take the right lane, then find that the turn lane is on the left. hehe In Ohio, the typical thing is to have, say, two lanes for a while, one of which abruptly changes to a turn-only lane!

If you lived in Maple Shade, you know where all 3 of the circles that I mentioned are/were. (Airport Circle lives)

If you look outside of a municipality, & stay away from HOAs, I doubt that anyone will give a rat's patoot about the cats, or how many you have.

There was a round about between Fort Dix and Writestown. Also, 206 and 70. I don't know names of them.

I know HOAs are something to avoid! What do you mean by "outside of a municipality"? A "rat's patoot" is what I'm looking for! haha

At the same time, I do understand that neighbors have a valid complaint and I came up with my own cat limit (2-4) from personal experience. I don't, however, believe that the government has any business dictating limits. At least not very low limits.

Also, the fees for registering animals should go to animal agencies, not the government in general. Kind of a rip off at the expense of the animals. It costs enough to care for them properly and extra fees don't help! (So if we adopt one less animal due to fees, that's one more animal added to the millions that are killed every year. And the killing is majorly due to animal control policies and shelter practices, along with a smaller percentage of owner irresponsibility. The government and those guilty of perpetuating the killing might have you believe the exact opposite.)

South Jersey towns can be a city, borough, or township. They are all incorporated municipalities. In NC counties are divided into townships. Incorporated municipalities are cities or towns. There is unincorporated land. If you find something in unincorporated land, say with a Belmont mailing address, then it wouldn't matter if Belmont had a limit.

You do see stories on the news where authorities find someone with inordinate numbers of animals.

Any suggestions on how to find such areas? Unincorporated land. I would expect it to eventually be incorporated, so maybe it won't help forever. Places that are minimally restrictive might be OK.

Our current tea party legislature tightened up annexation laws, considerably. They are currently gerrymandered into nearly automatic reelection. A lot of people who might, normally, be inclined to vote for them are hot under the collar. Even if the angry public votes Democrats back in, in the next election, changes to annexation laws wouldn't happen soon. Don't buy two block from the city/town limits.

Usually, property with a well & septic system is outside of a municipality. There can be exceptions.

Wow, I wish it worked this way: I stay away from politics and politics stays away from me! haha

In Browns Mills, NJ we used to have well water and a septic tank. Not sure I'd want to go back to that. Eh, I don't know. We even had oil heat and propane for cooking.

Now I'm curious if just living within the loop would be more practical as far as the commute goes. Maybe to the East? Don't want to be near an airport.

Wow, so my kitten is going in the middle of the yard in the grass. Never seen that before!

I'm going to start trying to make our own yard more appealing for the cats to do their business. Our flower beds are hard as concrete, so doing something with those should help. My wife threw some potting soil in one of the beds and one of our cats "used" it. Good sign! I might also look into a sand box.

Any suggestions based on your problem areas?
