When I told someone of the possibility of us moving to Charlotte, they immediately said this theme park was there.
It sounds cool.

Go late afternoon if you go that way the crowd is not so big and you will not have to wait as long in the lines.

I used to get season passes for Carowinds, but then they got so expensive!

They're under new management this year so it'll be interesting to see what, if any, changes are in store.

I only know all the Disney parks (I live in Florida) and have been to them like a hundred times. LOL

Then I would set your expectations really low then lol.

I would love for Carowinds to do accomindations and more adult entertainment and eateries not as lavish as Orlando.
Hopefully with the new managment they have big dreams. The owners made Knotts Berry Farm in CA a hit, but they also took over other Paramount Parks so hopefully in time it will be cool. It great place for kids and ok for adults. I recommend planning going in the day time and night time (with season pass)

We've been buying Kings Dominion and Carowinds passes for the past 18 years. I'm really reconsidering this year.

It used to be a treat to buy the pass at one park and be able to use it at the other parks (Kings Dominion, Kings Island, Canada's Wonderland, etc). Now you have to pay much more for that privilege (under Cedar Fair ownership).

I think the current "deal" on season passes is good until May. We'll decide by then.

Well the key for Season tickets is getting them in November when they go for $50-$55 and include parking...very reasonable if you ask me.

The Cedar Fair Amusement group now operates Kings Dominion, Cedar Point (best adult amusement park EVER), and some other east coast places and a bunch out west. Still a good deal if you plan on visiting

For those that haven't been to Carowinds...admission includes access to the pretty big water park.

For those with restless kids this summer, Carowinds season passes is a no brainer!

Ditto. Nobody does it like Disney. Carowinds is a little dirtier than Disney. They don't have the manpower to sweep up every wrapper before it actually hits the ground.

The thing that I hate about Carowinds over Disney is the smoking. I know it's outdoors, but it stinks.
