Default taxes

I thought I read a post awhile back that in deciding to buy a house, taxes are about half the price in the Moorseville area than in the Charlotte area. Am I remembering correctly? I'm trying to decide if I should concentrate my job search on the charlotte-Mecklenburg school district or on the Iredell-statesville and Moorseville Graded School districts. The other option of course is to pursue all equally, but if taxes are really so much cheaper north of Charlotte area, it would be wiser to live around there.

Ok so I have a question if you don't mind we asking here. If I'm looking at a home in Matthews, Meck County, do I add the 2 together? Same goes for Union county and Wesley Chapel. I just don't fully understand the tax implications I think.

Thanks!
