well, the statics beg to differ.

As I said in a previous post where I also posted real numbers:

"NYC it is much safer than Charlotte when looking at crime per 100,000

As you can see above, compared to NYC, Charlotte has more than twice the murder rate, rape, property crime, burglary motor vehicle theft, etc."

Please move back to NY if you feel safer there. Feeling unsafe is no way to go through life.

NYC has a gazillion more people so it's gonna have much more crime in volume. Charlotte is no more dangerous than Richmond, Nashville, Indianapolis, etc.

I feel 1000x more cozy anywhere in Charlotte than many areas of huge urban city like New York. If you don't you're crazy as hell or never been to certain parts of Brooklyn, etc.

NDL says that what I said is inaccurate. How long have you lived in charlotte NDL? I have lived here for many years. I can tell you that it is safe to walk in almost all areas of charlotte at night. I would feel safe walking wilkinson blvd, freedom drive, statesvill ave, n graham st . But I would use common sense. I would not do it at 2am. While uptown is safe , I would not walk by myself after 1 am or 2 am. Much of charlotte's murders are among people that know each other or is drug related. But I will say that if you have ever had a sociology class then you know that in general terms the south is more violent than other parts of US. But I will say again that I would feel much safer walking in clt than NYC and no statistical data will change my mind.

NYC Rats Are Boldly Jumping in Strollers - cetusnews

One benefit of Charlotte is that I'm not worried about rats jumping in my kid's stroller.
