So if you have a doc you have really liked, regardless of what specialty, please give his/her name and specialty. Many docs work at several locations.
Here are some of my recommendations for great docs:
Dr. Thomas Philips, Urology Specialists Carolinas, Matthews
Dr. Todd Kopczynski, OB/Gyn, Women's Care SE, Matthews

Hi Anifani:
Just wanted to bring you up to date on my husband. A friend recommended Dr. Sensenbrenner at Sensenbrenner Primary Care in Blakney. We went to him and he is great. He was born and raised in Weddington and has the belief that doctors should be there for your patient and isn't controlled by the system and gives you all the time necessary w/o you feeling rushed. He is really awesome!
Hope this will help someone else as your thread already has I'm sure!

Oh - that is wonderful to hear! So glad you let us know how things went! And Dr. S sounds like a terrific guy . . . totally patient centered.
I really appreciate your sharing the info . . . and yes, I do hope this thread has helped people. The whole medical system is confusing for anyone - but especially daunting for newcomers . . .

I've seen Dr. Novitt as well and I liked her, too. She wasn't rushing me and gave me multiple options for me ear infection.

For dentists, Dr. Crandall across from Birkdale was very helpful. I broke a tooth on a Friday morning and he was the only dentist open in the area (that I found). He was nice and helpful.
Anyone have a suggestion for a podiatrist or dermatologist? Very disgusting, but I have been battling a wart on my toe for a few years now. It was gone when I moved here, but has resurfaced. Again. I have had it electocauterized THREE times and the darn thing keeps coming back. And, that is a very painful procedure. Shots in the toe are the worst, and then walking around with a gigantic hole in your toe for weeks isn't fun at all. So, I REALLY like to find someone who will laser it off.

I second the vote for Dr. Erica Bono, internal medicine at Charlotte Medical Clinic. She takes the time to really LISTEN and she is never in a rush to get out the door. I even like her staff very much.
Also ditto for Dr Maniloff, rheumatoligist, altho he is VERY hard to get in to see. Can't go wrong with either of them.
