Anyone have a recommendation for a female GYN in LKN or even north Charlotte??

Also, still in need of a podiatrist and/or dermatologist.

I cant help you with specific recommindations and my dermatologist is in Chapel Hill so not much help there but behind connected to the Hosipital is a wide variety of doctors for the area that is how I scope out my local physician.

Although not in the area you want, I highly recommend Easover GYN (I see the NP, Ann Osborne) in the Morehead Medical Plaza on Morehead. Also, for derm., Mecklenburg Dermatology Associates (all docs there pretty good).

Hi all: I posted a few weeks ago requesting suggestions for great nurse practitioners or PA-Cs with a specialty of internal/family/general practice medicine to see regularly for my HBP. Specifically, I was looking for someone who would listen, would not over-prescribe, and with a good number of years of experience, after having a somewhat negative experience with my current doctor (who is my age, in her early 30s) at MMG-Museum. I did not receive many replies that were able to help, and would now like to ask your help with recommendations about the following doctors:

Dr. Mary Stowe – MMG Morehead
Dr. Tammy Jones – Meridian Medical Group
Dr. Angela Pardee, First Charlotte Physicians
Dr. Bridget Bongaard – clinic unknown??.

If you know of these docs or have worked with them, can you please comment? Thank you so much!

Default Here's the ones we use the most

All these have been great for us.

Endo - Dr. Brantley - MMG Southpark

GP - <In search of new GP, most likely with MMG>

Ped - Dr. James Linderman (Linderman Pediatrics) - Downtown Matthews - sees\understands internationally adopted children BTW.

Ped Dentist - Dr. Stephaine Chen - Southpark area. Best dentist around for kids. Wish she would see adults. Has the coolest office too.

Regular Dentist - Any of the docs at Stiener, Pappert and Linger. (Park Rd). Specializes in sedation dentistry, but will also do regular as well.

Highly recommend all of them, but your mileage may vary.....

The latest issue of Charlotte Magazine has a list of doctors by specialty and contains names of doctors nominated by other doctors as those they would send their family members to if needed. You can't get a better endorsement than from doctors themselves. I strongly suggest folks get their hands on this edition. Somehow, I have a subscription and I don't know how I got it, but the mag contains some very good info on Charlotte. Two of my docs are on this list...check to see if yours are!

Charlotte Ear Eye Nose and Throat. www.ceenta.com

They have been utterly fantastic for eyes and ears. I use both South Park and Blakeney locations. Pediatrics and Adults, extremely kind, knowledgeable and very professional but warm.

Steele Creek Family Practice, Dr. Mendohlsson. Pediatrician. He is awesome and my girls adore him. He is warm, younger and very good about all different parenting styles.

Prebstyerian Urgent Care, Blakeney Location. Excellent staff and very quick. We used them for pediatrics and adults. They do offer shots like Hep B etc cheaper than the state health office and no doctor fees either. Just pay for the shots themselves.

I have been going to a female GYN for years, Dr. Tina Petok, she is near the Ham's Restaurant on 29(North Tryon)/University Executive Drive, across from the new Verizon Store. She has a PA or Nurse Practitioner also, Debra Johns. Really like them both. Started going to Debra, but had to have a partial hysterectomy, so I had to start seeing Dr. Petok.

As for a the warts, I took my son to the foot doctor, right on Prosperity Church Road, next to the Food Lion, that little business park. It's Foot and Ankle Specialist...something like that. They were very nice and convenient location. I'd go to a podiatrist for that instead of a dermotologist, but took my kids to one of those too, the office off Baucom Drive off Mallard Creek Road, just past the Harris Teeter, then the apartments 3006 Baucom Rd, Ste 100). University Dermatology, Dr. Dana Dorenfield (she is pregnant, not sure when she's due, when/if returning), but she was great. There are about 4 or 5 other doctors at the office. We've only seen her.

I've recently had the occasion to mention that I see Dr. Bono to several other doctors and everyone of them has reacted in a most positive way saying that her name has been coming up a lot recently - definitely very positive remarks. A nursing instructor at UNCC - a very demanding taskmaster - also had very good things to say about her.

Also at Charlotte medical clinic is Dr. Benjamin Kirk, a great young Davidson grad. He's my husband's internist at Charlotte Medical Clinic.

PODIATRIST:Recommended by my endocrinologist
Christopher R Fuesy and Ronald V Futerman
Eastover Foot & Ankle PA
(704) 333-4014
2614 E 7th St #A
Charlotte, NC 28204

Dermatologist: Dr. Patricia Roddey at Mecklenburg Medical Group, 3030 Randolph Road
