I live in Irvine, CA. We have Homedepot to do our kitchen cabinet and counter refacing. Price is ridiculous high...job is delay. They are very tricky. Be aware what salesman told you and whats on the contract. Salesman is nice, but what he said and what on the contract is totally different. They will ask u to sign whole bunch of papers. However, the installation date is tricky. We signed contract on 10/22/12. The "super nice and honest" told us the whole thing will be ready in the first or second in December. So we can have a new kitchen for Xmas...(But he put the date is 12/27/12 on the contract) However, we got the phone call from cabinet company (the cabinet refacing company is not belong to Homedepot, so nothing you can do after you signed the contract.) They said they will come in on the 12/27/12 to install the cabinet part.(takes 3 days to finished it) And the counter top takes another 10 days after they finished cabinet parts. So, I guess the whole thing will be done around 1/15/13. Our remodeling schedule was screwed because of that. Very disappointed. Now, nothing we can do. Because the cabinet refacing is belong to other company. When we call Homedepot customer service, they will ask us to call other number. They are like kicking a ball...we don't know when the whole thing will be done!!

I wouldn't have signed the contract if the dates weren't as you were told. The countertop should be in place within a couple days after the cabinets. No reason for a 10 day delay. You made the mistake of accepting their poor scheduling, and then not dealing with it immediately.
