Default Is it better to move on Sunday or on Monday?

We are finally ready to move to Charlotte

We scheduled 3 apartment tours on Monday but we can reschedule them for sunday.

We made an appointment at 10.30 am on Monday, but we are thinking about traffic now... Is it better to come on Sunday?

P.S.: we are driving from Alabama, we'd have to leave early in the morning.

Are you moving or visiting? If you are just looking at the apts it won't matter too much, but less people go during the week, so you might get better attention. Also be ready to rent that day if you can, because you generally get look and lease specials. I basically looked at 3 places one morning, went to lunch, looked at the areas and rented that afternoon. I moved in 20+ days later.

As far as moving, if you don't need help, I would move during the week, more access to trucks and less traffic during the day. If you are worried about traffic in general, then yes during the week the morning commute is going to slow you a bit.

It also depends on which area of Charlotte you are looking at. Traffic is generally clear by 10am in all directions.
Yes moving on a monday is better; rental trucks are generally cheaper on the weekdays.

You can also get cheaper rates on rental trucks during weekdays as opposed to weekends sometimes too.

Trucks get reserved quickly for the END OF THE MONTH. So it is best to make your plans so you are not moving at the end of any month.

Are you saying you have a truck loaded and will be driving here and whatever you find to rent that day, you will move into that day?

We are actually moving already, and we are not bringing furniture. Just clothes and basic stuff. We were thinking of going there on sunday, and staying the night till monday. Or, leaving early on monday morning. The apartments are in southern part of the city.

We have our car packed, and our relatives will bring us the rest of our stuff in 2 weeks (we do not have much anyway). We plan on looking at 3 to 5 apartments, and moving in the same day or the next day.

When we were looking some of the rental centers were closed on Sundays. Many were open as well. I know that "Post" Ballantyne was closed if that helps. WELCOME TO CHARLOTTE.
