OH dear. That is awful. We are lucky - we have the type that has changeable heads and we can throw them in dishwasher.

I hope you are not going to keep having strep. One of my kids repeatedly had strep for almost two years, yet no one else in the household ever got it. I could not figure out why he repeatedly got it when I was soooo careful about sterilizing things, spraying surfaces w/ Lysol, etc. And we didn't have a dog to even check out as being a carrier, LOL. It is just so strange when it occurs over and over. It is even more perplexing when it is an adult as typically, kids bring strep home from school, preschool or daycare.

I sure hope this is gonna be your last battle w/ strep. If it isn't, I would ask my doc to do a strep culture even after the symptoms are gone to see if your antibiotic is not killing the strep. Just a thought. Kind of a preventive step. Maybe your antibiotic is not zapping it and so it is recurring. ????

Default Tea tree oil

I used to get Strep throat every time I went on Holiday and had ice in my drinks as it was hot. Something to do with killing off the "good" bacteria in your throat.
Try gargling with 2-3 drops of tea tree oil in about 30mls of warm water-used to work for me and if it avoids having to have antibiotics (which can lead to candidas invasions) then all the better!

Yes, me. I am moving to Cornelius in June but my furniture is there and my house has been built. Every time I get to Charlotte, I get ill. Last time I was there a couple of weeks ago, I had larngitus (not sure of the spelling) and a caugh. A month earlier, I had the worst caugh I have ever had with a termperature. When we left last time, my wife picked up some really bad stomach virus. She was out of work for four days. I'm going up in 10 days. If I get sick this time, I may sell my house and say to hell with it. It is sort of scary?

Club soda works pretty good, too. It sort of anesthetizes your throat and the good thing is the only side effects are burps! You can drink as much as you need to.

In 2006 I had it three times from mid Feb through end of March. Each year before that I averaged at least 3 times a year. I had my tonsils removed in May '06. It didn't cure all that ailed me, but I don't get nearly the serious throat infections I once did. With the kiddo in daycare/preschool, we get everything at our house and sometimes it runs it's course twice before we are done with it. *sigh*
