Union County also has many great schools and would be closer as well to Monroe.

Not sure of your price range, but there are several new neighborhoods that go to Fort Mill High Schools. Also, there is a new HS under construction, named Catawba Ridge, which is expected to open in 2019.

Two neighborhoods still under development are Waterside at the Catawba and Massey. Both developments have multiple builders to choose from, and offer a wide range of options depending on your budget. Their amenities are already in place (clubhouse, pool, tennis, playgrounds).

From Waterside, power lines are visible, but are not adjacent/passing through the neighborhood.

Massey appears clear of all visible power lines.

Pecan Ridge (immediately north of Waterside on White's Road) is partially under the power lines.

As a buyer I found that windshield video tours were helpful in getting a sense of a new area. As a relocation professional, I am in the process of producing updated videos of local neighborhoods that may interest you.

Here's on of the newly finished clubhouse/pool/tennis amenities at Waterside at the Catawba:

I'm originally from LI, and during my career my family relocated several times. I know you'll be at home here, especially considering the high percentage of transplants, and genuinely friendly people.

If I can help you find the right home and neighborhood for your family, please let me know.

I am licensed realtor in both SC and NC.

When are basketball tryouts held at the Fort Mill High Schools and Middle Schools?
If the Middle Schools don't have teams, is there a town travel team?
Thanks!
