Default Headed down to Charlotte this week

I'm heading down to Charlotte later this week for an interview. I have been through the threads but couldn't find anything that exactly fits what I'm looking for. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I'm 30/M/S and if offered a positon would be working in downtown Charlotte. Does anyone have any suggestions on apartments within a 30 minute commute? I wouldn't want to spend anymore than $925/month for an apartment. The main things that are important to me is commute time, a safe neighborhood, and an area with people around my age. I've been thinking about looking at places west of downtown but would like to get others feedback.

Also, if you have any recommendation for a place that has good ribs I'd like to know.

Hi Headinsouth30,
If you looking for a 1 bedroom under 925.00 You'll have n o problem. They're are plenty of great apartment communities that fit your budget in terrific neighborhoods. The average age in Charlotte is 32 or 34. I don't know where your coming from, but I moved here from New York. As you know everything is relative to your own experience, but I haven't met anyone that has come down here and been disapointed. It's a great town with a lot going on. I am a Realtor, but certainly not your typical one. I actually don't mind helping people locate apartments. So, let me know what your interest are and if there is anything you want to avoid. And you might want to rethink West Charlotte. That is the Airport area and you can afford better. South Charlotte and North Charlotte are the better area's and at $925. you might even get into or close to Center City which is a very hot area if you like city life. It's a beautiful town.

Paul

I agree that south Charlotte might be a better fit. There are nice apartments around South End, Dilworth, South Park and Park Road areas.

I appreciate the suggestion on looking into South Charlotte. I'll be sure to check it out when I'm down there.
