This will be the Dixie River Elementary school, although I have heard rumors about a name change. In the meantime Berryhill is the home school, you can research this on the cms web site. You may want to look at magnet schools, most of the elementary schools in steele creek are suffering from overcrowding. As a resident, we are anxiously awaiting the new school in 2009.

Berewick is definitely family oriented, lots of cool events at the manor house for kids, families etc. They do a really good job during the summer with pool parties etc. HOA dues are a bit higher than most but the amenities that will (eventually) be offered are a step above as well.

CMS always adopts temporary descriptive names for new schools. Once the principal is named, he/she will call a meeting of prospective students' parents to propose names. The process will nominate three names to be presented to the school board, which will decide on the final name. This process will occur around April of 2009.

I have only been here for about a week, but we find the community to be nice and not "trailer park" at all!

I have enjoyed the Manor House and the pool facilities. I have walked throughout the community in the mornings, and it is very lovely.

Looking forward to meeting some more neighbors. The community seems to have a lot to offer, and it is only growing with all that is to come.
