IMO your #2 definition doesn't necessarily mean "non-white," but more of a combination of multiple different races/ethnicities. I get the jokes since OP wasn't very specific but I think that is a pretty commonly thought of definition of diversity.
I guess I misunderstood the question, I thought they were asking 2 different questions, but it seems maybe they were looking for a place that was both affluent and diverse at the same time. If it's affluent, then of course that means it's not really socioeconomically diverse. So going back to what I'd consider the most commonly thought of definition of diversity, the best bet for some of that as well as an affluent area might be the Ballantyne area.
