Does anyone know what the project near highway 73 and George Liles is? It has Skanska signs all around it. It appears likely it would be this but, its very vague.:

The GIS lists it as being owned by a "Kannapolis Logistics Center LLC" out of Atlanta. Seems likely to be another empty shell building.

I don't know for sure, but I would guess the Skanska signs are for the Amazon distribution center that was announced a few months ago, although that project at the time had an opening date of 2019, so I'm not sure if construction is imminent.

I didn't see that. I know they've got the one by concord airport and apparently there is one down by Charlotte Douglas as well. I wonder if they are consolidating.

The article above seems to be talking about Amazon according to this article from August:

Yeah, it's got to be Amazon. This probably isn't going to help my commute. Although maybe it will make them fix the intersection at George Liles/I-85 Afton shopping center.

It's probably the Amazon warehouse. This warehouse will handle different products than the concord or charlotte facilities.
