Hello everyone! I have accepted a job offer with Vanguard, and will be moving to Charlotte in Jan 2018. Iím currently looking for a 1 bedroom apartment around $850-$900. Iím single, no kids, no husband (lol) so a safe community is at the top of my list as a well as a decent commute to vanguard. If anyone had any suggestions on apartment complexes, I would definitely appreciate it!

It's close to the airport. It's off of W. Tyvola. I believe another poster's husband who recently moved to the area works there as well.

You will be in a good area but lots depends on which side of Tyvola Road you will be working. The whole area towards Southpark is great. There are condos all up and down Park Road and even on Tyvola at the intersection of Park Road. Southend wouldn't be too far away either. Bus service and light rail are available. The bus service services all of Tyvola into uptown and the rail runs adjacent to South Blvd. Good luck and there are lots of options.

P.S. I just looked up Vanguard to see where it is located. It is a few miles from South Boulevard so walking from the rail isn't an option. But, the areas I mentioned are a short drive and still recommended. The area where you will be working is booming, so there may be options there now or in the near future.
