Husband will be working at Davidson College. Wondering which city and subdivision would be best for our young kids. Looking at Huntersville, Davidson, Cornelius and Mooresville. Any advice would be great. Our max budget for a house is $310,000. Thank you!!

Any of the three you mentioned. You won't find a house on the lake, but you might find a really nice place and the schools are descent and areas safe.

Just to give you an idea this is what you can presently get for 310,000 in Davidson:

Please note that Waterford Hall, Summers Walk and The Farm at Riverpointe are neighborhoods not located in the town of Davidson. Waterford Hall and The Farms at Riverpointe are off of 73 and Shiloh Church Road in Cabarrus County (great schools - Odell Primary, Odell ES, Harris Road Middle and Cox Mill HS). Summers Walk is located off of 73 in Mecklenburg County. I'm not sure which schools Summers Walk is zoned.

Out of the 8 pages listed on realtor.com on the first page, 4 of them are not listed in MLS. Realtor.com's information is not always updated or correct, just FYI.

Does that mean they were already sold? One of them said it's been on the website for 3 days.

No. If i was listed in MLS and sold it would still be there and just say closed. Nothing is ever purged from MLS. It is 19 years old and anything that has been entered into it is still there no matter what the status.
