My wife and I visited Charlotte recently and loved it; we are thinking of moving in the Spring/Summer. We have not done any serious job hunting to this point, and I'm trying to best prepare for the job hunt. I get email alerts from Charlotte Biz Journal because I love reading about all the new development in the city. I like to be well informed on what's going on in my community. However, most of the content is subscription based.

Is anyone a subscriber? If so, is it worth the $100/year? An added bonus for us would be the Book of Lists, which categorizes a number of businesses by industry in the area. I think this may be a useful tool in our job hunt.

Also, if anyone has tips for local sites with quality job postings, please share! I just started checking out Charlotte Agenda and love the layout and content.

Thanks in advance, Charlotteans!

Sales Engineer for a manufacturer; I estimate projects for commercial real estate and hospitals primarily. I would really like to find something that's more on the business development side for construction services or SaaS.
