Hi,
This will sound silly to most, but I have a question. We have 5 Koi, 6-10" long, approximately 3 years old. We will be moving to NC from Connecticut later this year, and was wondering if there is such a thing as somewhere that will temporarily board them down there. We want to bring them with us, but the timing of selling our house here, and our new house being ready there may require a period where we would need a place for them to stay. Has anyone ever heard of such a thing ?

Thanks, Bill

Thanks, just took a quick look at their site and it looks like an excellent place to start. I will read through it later tonight.

Thanks again, Bill

I have been serious considering a Koi pond and would help anyone for free, but alas my project has not started yet.

And here I thought "Koi Fish Boarding" was a torture method used to get the sneaky little suckers to give up military secrets! Thanks for clearing that up!

Buffet Dynasty in Matthews (a Charlotte bedroom community inside the beltine) has a huge Koi run with plenty of room for extra fish.
As a last resort (considering the help here) give them a call.

I have a hungry owl in my neighborhood that just LOVES Koi. I have had three 18" or so Koi snatched out of my pond over the past couple of years. One day the stupid owl almost flew through my giant front window on one of his fly-bys.

On a side note, you definately need to get rid of one of your Kio. I had a 60 gallon pond with two koi and it was constant work to keep the water clean. Three would spell water disaster. We were able to keep the two koi for about 2-3 years before the owl got them. After the owl stole our last and biggest Koi, we have officially given up.
