The Charlotte Housing Authority and several other local agencies will join forces to sponsor the 15th annual Career Fair today.
The event takes place from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. in the multipurpose room of the Carole A. Hoefner Community Services Center, 610 East 7th Street, in uptown Charlotte's First Ward area. Free parking is available in the gravel lot at 5th Street and Davidson Street, across from the center.
The fair is held annually to bring together employers who have available positions, with individuals who are looking for employment. Prospective job applicants are asked to bring updated resumes and to dress professionally. Among companies participating are the City of Charlotte, Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools, Barada Nurses, BB&T, Carolinas Healthcare System, Corestaff, Time Warner Cable and FedEx.
