Im Thinking Of Moving Back To Nc This Summer. But Ive Never Lived In Charlotte. Whats It Like?

I Dont Want To Live In The Ghetto.i Would Like To Live In A Young, Live Neighborhood, With Childcare And Schools Available Near By.

I Have Lived In Minneapolis, So Would Like It To Be Familar To That City Life. I Heard Charlotte Is City Like But I Would Like To Know More About It.

Thanks,
Nubia

If you want all of the above, stay away from 90% of west Charlotte.

on this map you are going to have a hard time finding your ideals on the west side between highway 16 and highway 49 on the west side of Charlotte.
Charlotte, NC, United States of America - Google Maps

If the west side is where you tend to look, focus on extreme southwest or northwest corridor.

First of all stop shouting.

All of Charlotte is in one county, Mecklenburg.
My advice would be to take a weekend, come to Charlotte, and drive around.
We just cannot tell you where to live, you have to decide that on your own.

Wow, that was a bit rude.

I work in West Charlotte, it is the least desirable portion of the city in my opinion. However, there are some parts of the West that LOOK decent (around Tyvola) but unless you are into driving by the projects (or god forbid, living in them) this is not the place for you.

My experience has only been about a month though, I may be missing something.

I don't think he was being rude at all. He gave you good advice. I was also going to tell you to stop shouting too.

I lived on Tyvola for almost 5 years. It gets worse and worse. I still work on Tyvola, but it is better during the day.
