I am moving to the Mooresville area and was wondering if there were any suggestions on neighborhoods to look at. I have a small child so Elem school is important. I would like to be with 20 mins of exit 36 (I-77). Thank you for any help you can give me.

In that price range i can think of two. The Tall Oaks subdivision off of 150,close enough to 77 and also Curtis Pond which you can access off of exit 33 or through Davidson, exit 30 i believe.I know theres alot more out there and i would suggest a Real Estate agent could really help you as there are plenty in that price range.

You could even find some homes in Cornelius/Huntersville. Gilead Ridge is real nice and a 4bd 2.5 bath you can get right under $200K

Harris Crossing is another new subdivision going up. FYI, lots are small & it will not have a community pool.

At that price point, your best bet is South as has been pointed out here. From an Elementary school perspective, you'll be fine down in Meck county... Try and stay West of 77. If you come up into Iredell (ideally for schools), you might find some options East of 77 in the older section of Mooresville.

Look at Summer's Walk in Davidson. The development is off US-73 (exit 25 off I-77) that is a new development for young families or indivuals. It offers walking trails, pool and clubhouse, childrens play areas (big wheel race track), etc. It would only take 20 mins to get to exit 36 from that area.

HI!! Yep, it's right next door to my sub, they even have a road connecting us. I hear Walgreens is supposed to close on the property in May & start building. Still don't know what supermarket is coming, but I did hear Bi-Lo was the latest one to express interest.
