Default Which area: Charlotte or Raleigh?

I am still trying to figure out which area would be best for my children and I..I will obtain a degree in healthcare adm. next year and one of these cities will be our 'new' home. Now I've heard good things about Charlotte, and good things about Raleigh. Now we all know there is no such thing as a "perfect" city, so I would like to know the flaws of these cities as well. I've been reading that Charlotte's traffic is horrendous, and Raleigh's suburbs are too pricey. I've been told that Charlotte is more urban & diverse and Raleigh is more for family. Now, I am a single mother and my chilldren IS my family. I have been on both the cities school websites, and Raleigh's schools seem much better than Charlotte's. My sister (who lives in Charlotte) wants me in Charlotte, but I get more information off of this website more than from her My cousin lives in S. Charlotte, but that will be out of my price range until I get there and on my feet. Most apts. in that area for a 3-bed was around $950 and higher. I was interested in Concord and Huntersville. Both seem to have descent schools, plus I don't want to live exactly in neither cities. Raleigh's suburbs seems to be dealing with a growth sprawl and some parts of Charlotte, too, so how is a girl to decide. I saw pictures of N. Raleigh and S. Raleigh and it amazed me how one city's sides of towns can look totally different. Now I saw some of Charlotte's photos (thanks Sunnykak), but I want to see the other side too. Can anyone send me a video, photos of Concord, Apex, Holly Springs, and Fort Mill (30 min from Charlotte) Those are the smaller cities I am considering and next year will be here before you know it. I'm not a last-minute person, so it is extremely vital that I absorb any information, suggestions, advice, opinions, websites, etc. that anyone can offer me! Come on all you Charlotte and Raleigh residents: Help a sister out!!!! Rather it's Charlotte or Raleigh- we are moving from Ohio!! God bless
