Where I am currently employed I was asked a few things about church, denomination, etc. It was a lengthy interview that went off subject many times. They consider themselves to be a Christian business place, but the things going on there aren't always Christian IMO. This is a physicians office though, not a church, and they don't list themselves as being a Christian practice, which they say they are. Granted, some medical and law offices do, but they only say it amongst eachother. I don't know. I guess if it was at a church, but I don't see where they should have discriminated against the person.

This is an interesting discussion. I have two cents to throw in.
First, I found out a person was going to interview at our christian school for a job working with kids, I would have done my best to have them fired, if they were hired. The school is a christian school, I pay a premium for this. This person is an 20 year old drug using, stripper, *****, tattooed, etc. I would have personally made it my fight to get her fired , if she was hired. Ofcourse, the staff uses the best judgement and she never got that far. I don't pay for my daughter to learn about tattoos, tounge piercings etc. I personally find this girl immoral and she represents everything, but what I want my daughter taught on a moral level. With that being said, I am tight lipped about my relationship with god. I have been accused by more then one coworker of being atheist. I advised the person accusing me of this, that the question was out of line, and was really none of her business. I'm sorry, she talks about whoring around with men to get stuff, and drinks quite a bit, and your questioning if I'm a christian. Um...no. I respect everyone and their level of spirtuality, like i said I pay for my christian school because I beleive in what they represent. I find it hypocritcal to talk about your demons and then brush it away on sunday. Makes my head spin. |
