Many moons ago, I worked for a bedding company - so I know the profit margins built into bedding.

I am interested in buying a mattress, but I am not interested in haggling; a fair price is all I ask.

Original Mattress is a good company IMHO, but I am interested in buying something other than the bedding that they manufacture.

Spring Air has a factory in Greensboro, but their website shows that they do not retail any Spring Air beds in and around Charlotte.

Can anyone recommend a mattress retailer in Charlotte (outside of big chains)? I would prefer a retailer that sells Spring Air or Beautyrest mattresses.

Thank you

OMF may be a good company and my make a good product, but we ditched our mattress after two years. I suspected from the beginning that we got a floor room model because they closed that store right after delivery. Look elsewhere and SHOP.

Try Sam's or Walmart's mattresses.

We needed a mattress for a guest bedroom and went through these same questions and concerns.

I ended up taking a chance on a mattress from Amazon and was really pleased with it. Since we're prime members the shipping was free so for under $300 I had a pillow-top queen sized mattress that is comparable to a name brand mattress that's 3 times the cost.

The one we went with is https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1.

It came in a box so after unpacking we let it sit for about 3 days and it was ready for use. Our guests loved the bed and thought it was a more expensive setup. When I told them it was under $300 they were pleasantly surprised.

So although you can't try before you buy it's another option.

We ended up doing this also and got a fantastic mattress. It was for my daughters bed and even 4 years out its still so comfy. We keep it in a an anti-allergen cover and its as clean as the day we bought it. It comes all rolled up in a tiny box, you open it up and it expands. Leave it for a few days and its fantastic.

Top quality mattress in a box direct to you. Savings courtesy of the internet. Tuft and Needle, Casper, Purple and several others. I have Tuft and Needle and could not be happier.

I have purchase 4 mattresses from there for various beds. Reasonably priced and consistent product.
