What stores can you buy Weddington Middle School clothing at?
We will be moving into the WMS area and I am perplexed by where I should start to think about buying my 2 'clothing conscious' daughters' school clothes from. Anyone have any great experience of this?

WMS is a uniform school, so your kids won't have much choice. All the department stores and stores like Target sell clothes that are suitable. Here is the website for the dress code for WMS:

You can also get uniforms from Educational Outfitters.

Wow
Is it easy to find stuff? At the department stores. I guess I need to speak to someone with daughter's - thanks FL for the info. I think you have a son right? My girls wear Aieropostale and American Eagle Stuff for school here. They know there will be a change. Maybe I need to just buy a couple of outfits for them in the summer and then let them get more stuff when they've been to school and got a feel for what everyone's wearing.

You can probably find things in the school colors in those stores that follows the dress code. From what I have seen, some of the girls do wear more stylish clothing.

That's what I was thinking. I bet the kids can see the difference between the 'strictly uniform' look and the 'I bought these at Abercrombir and Fitch' look. I'd like them to feel good about themselves from the start (if it's within my budget after buying a house). So I may need a whole education on this. Do you know anyone with girls who go there?

The clothes can't have any logo on them unless they are Weddington Middle logo. I bought my son plain collared t's (for the warm months) and long sleeve shirts (for the colder months) from Old Navy and Belk. They are also not allowed to wear coats or sweatshirts in school that aren't plain or Weddington Middle logos. (Not even small izod or polo emblems). My son prefers the Weddington t-shirts I purchased through the school. There are some different more stylish t's for the girls...

Do you think the boys find it easier, I mean they don't compare the way they look with others. I'm wondering about pants, they don't have logos but girls can see the difference between the abercrombies and the targets methinks. I hate this stuff, but I know my girls will want to feel like they look ok.

My daughter went there before she was redistricted to Marvin Ridge. I found that a lot of the girls wore the khaki capris year-round. Close to the start of school, there will be open houses where the booster clubs will sell "spirit wear." Most kids wear spirit wear tops. And Rainbow sandals for shoes...year-round...LOL! For a jacket, most kids wear the spirit wear sweatshirts. The uniform store will also come to the school over the summer and you can come see the clothing and try it on at the school.
Now, some folks did go out and try to find clothing outside of the uniform store. I think you will find good luck at places like Old Navy or Gap. Just know that the school is pretty strict about no logos or decorative stitching of any type. So, just picking up a collared shirt at Aeropostale or American Eagle won't work. I think you might find just basic tees at Target. Tucking in shirt tails is a very BIG deal, so make sure that shirt tails are long enough to tuck in and stay in.
Hope that's helpful. My daughter just lived in the khaki capris with spirit wear tops...and she had a navy hoodie sweater from the uniform store that she wore (classrooms are cool, due to air conditioning). We tried to work with the school on complying with the uniform code...frankly, it is so much easier and much cheaper to dress kids when everything goes together.

Thanks, I am looking at Khaki capris on sale in Aeropostale this very minute. Now I wonder if they need to have no stitching down the side and be a certain length or whether they can be any length as long as not above the knee. Maybe so long as the name is not on there or any logo they're ok. Thanks I will be able to show this info. to my girls. If anyone has any more info. I'd love to hear from you.
