Uptown Charlotte for teens (showing, home, nightlife)

I have some friends comming down to Charlotte with me in 2 weeks, we want to go into the city one night, we are 17. And ideas? It can be anything.. restaurants, shopping...etc.

Uptown at night you are going to be severly limited on the things to do with teens.
It rather geared for now for adults at night.
You could take them to a showing at the IMAX theater DISCOVERY PLACE | igniting wonder since 1981 | CHARLOTTE NATURE MUSEUM | IMAX | Discovery Place with the Charlotte Observer IMAX Dome Theater and the Charlotte Nature Musuem are the things to do in Uptown Charlotte, North Carolina. In the future you can take them to the Epicentre when it is finished.

Shopping will be limited the limited existing shops close at 5 unless you want to be pushed around in a shopping cart at Target or Home Depot for fun.

Well, nightlife in Charlotte is more geared toward the over 21 crowd I'm afraid. You could however, just park down at the light rail station on South Blvd near I485, ride the light rail all the way into the center of uptown and just walk the city. If the Bobcats are in town that night you might want to go to the game, or just hang out and people watch. There are several places you could get a bite - like Brixx Pizza right near the light rail and 7th Street Station. In addition, if music is your thing, check out the schedule at Tremont Music Hall to see if they are having an "all ages" show that night - it is just south of uptown near Southend. Official Home of Tremont Music Hall Or, check out the scheduled lineup of music at the Neighborhood Theater in NoDa for that night - Neighborhood Theatre And lastly, there is a club uptown called Bar Charlotte that once a month or so does a teen night where you have to 18 or under to go - the whole place becomes "Club 300" for the night. This is very popular with the 16 to 18 year olds I know. You could give them a call and see if they are having an event the night you will be uptown: Club 300 Charlotte

Also Charlotte has a teen curfew. You must be off the streets by 12 midnight or you will be fined. I live Uptown and see this happen quite often. Not just Uptown. If you are under 18 you must have a parent with you past 11pm during the week and after 12 midnight on the weekend. Good Luck!
