You might also want to consider Tyvola Centre apartments.
The South End neighborhood could be a good option as well if you want a neighborhood near restaurants, bars, coffee shops, some walkability, etc... The apartments might run a little bit more expensive. Drive time should be around 15 minutes to apartments on the southern end of South End.
Hi I am moving to charlotte NC, Lookiing for apartments with least commute time from water ridge parkway (Vanguard office).
Considerations based on internet research.
1. Morehead West - 15+ min travel
2. Parkside at south tryon - 5+ mins travel.
Please help in suggesting any good communities to live nearby this area.
My husband works there, we live in Steele Creek. Its 7 miles exactly to his job, no highway miles (Literally a straight shot down S Tryon)... most days it can take him upwards of 45 mins to get home.. During rain it can be an hour +... Try the townhomes and apts across the street from Vanguard.. thats about as low of a commute as you're gonna get... Just so you know, being so close to Vanguard, you're going to deal with Charlotte Douglass planes allllllllll day long.... hundreds of planes a day right over your tree tops... starting around 5:30am till 11:30 pm... Sometimes they're so low the block out the sun every 20-30 seconds for hours on end.

Does S. Tryon have a lot of stoplights? Is that why it takes so long?
