Default One more newbee..suggestion on kid friendly condo/townhome community(in Ballantyne area)

One more family joining the ‘GO Charlotte’ band-wagon. We are moving from Phoenix and have been doing a little bit of research on the internet. Seems like all roads leading towards South Charlotte/Ballantyne area. We are planning to rent for some time atleast a year before contemplating a new home – so, any recommendations on rental of Townhomes. Some of the Condos in Ballantyne village looks good for the price, area and the amenities etc, however not sure about the community itself as I have a middle school kid and not sure if these condo communities would have kids around? Any thoughts about kid friendly condo communities in Ballantyne? There are some apartment communities around but thought to explore the Condos(for rent) as they have some better options in terms of upgrades/equipment/kitchen etc compared to a rental community and the price is almost the same for a 3 bed/2 bath. I also looked at some condos on craigslist for Belle Vista/Ballantyne Village, they look very good – need to know more about kid atmosphere around there. Thanks for any suggestions
