I Just got my Real Estate License in Charlotte NC -Mecklenburg Co.

I have 10 years experience working for high-rise condominium developers as both an in house builder sales person and a web developer for Real Estate developers. (before real estate I was a full time web developer).

Im wondering which are the best firms in the Lake Norman area for experienced Real Estate people who need little or no help. What the splits are... fees etc.... For now, my license is "provisional". But my intent is to build my own business and become a BIC. I don't want to be prostituted at some place that offers less than 70% split, given how little factor input actually comes from the broker besides clearing checks and maintaining advertising. Broker costs IMO should never exceed 30%.

What can anybody tell me about the Real Estate firms around Lake Norman?

Thanks in advance.

JPT

Congrats! Don't forget to ask about referrals for people relocating to CLT. Some brokerages have contracts with RELO companies and an impressive referral rate from other brokerages. RE/MAX used to have a good system like that; but it will vary widely from brokerage to brokerage.
