I got mine about 3 weeks ago from the BB on Independence. I called the University BB in January and they KNEW they'd get some in in March. Also, monitor slickdeals.net and fatwallet.com. They'll have posts about Wii's in stock

We got one last August in Charlotte @ the Walmart off of Wilkinson Blvd (I think that's Wilkinson)... We just kept calling stores, and that one just happened to have just gotten 12 in that morning. Just call and ask. Helps if it's not around Xmas!

I purchases a wii for my husband in December using this free service. I got an alert that they were in stock at amazon.com and was able to get online and purchase one quickly. I got it for MSRP (I refused to pay above the normal price) with free shipping. Wiialerts has not spammed me or bothered me in any way since I got my wii.
The whole family loves our wii!

I saw some on Ebay. They were going for around $250-$300 plus shipping but no sales tax. I don't know if this is a good price or not.

The MSRP is $249. That is what I paid at amazon.com with free shipping and no tax. Be careful on ebay- they can get you in high shipping and handling charges, not to mention the excessive charge for the item. Sometimes, there are wii bundles that include software. Target and amazon sometimes has the wii available this way. It may be a good deal if you like that particular group of software. Otherwise no.

I googled "where can i find a wii on Sunday April 18" (or whatever date is the sunday coming up ) and found a bunch of postings of who would have them advertised on their weekly sales bulliten. We ended up getting ours at Target, but we had to go at 7am and wait till they opened at 8. Every place we stopped in or called never had them, so we finally just camped out. Good luck!

i was lucky enough to get one just last week at the Wal Mart on Eastover. i would second the advice of signing up with wiialerts.com, and i'd recommend using itrackr.com too. the itrackr site can be a little tough to navigate, but it searches the inventory of local retailers to find wiis. i've called a lot of stores to double check itrackr only to find they were out of stock, but last week itrackr said Wal Mart had wiis in stock and it was right.
good luck!

The best advice I can give is to get a routine down. Make a list of all the stores that will stock them, Gamestop, Walmart, Target, Best Buy, Circuit City etc. Call them and ask when they receive shipments and then call each of them on those days. If you do this long enough you will find one.
I always find this stuff hilarious though, I sat outside in the cold for 13 hours on launch day. All of my friends and family thought I was crazy. People in the line who were only there to sell them on ebay were laughing at us and then they left once they realized there would be over 100 of them. Now though, every one is trying to get one and can't. The same friends who laughed ask me to bring it over since they haven't been able to find one yet. Anyway, good luck!
