Do you have an alarm system?
I noticed in the 911 calls for service on the CMPD website that if your permit is expired the police may not show up. This is what is listed under Disposition of a few calls on the log: ALARM PERMIT EXPIRED (DO NOT DISPATCH)
Keep your permit up to date!

Absolutely. And no big deal to do that, either, as you can apply online. Plus, most likely your homeowner's insurance will decrease a bit if you have a properly registered alarm system.

You are near a PD station . . . so how long does it take them to get there?

We have an alarm system and use it religiously.
I'm always struck by the number of people who have one installed in their home but never bothered to activate the service. Or by the number of people who have one, have the service, but never use it. It works much better if you activate it, you know.

How much does an alarm service cost. Our new house will be wired for an alarm system but I have no idea how much it will be. Can anyone give me any info. Also are there some you would recommend or stay away from?
