Yup, these flowers by my office must be wisteria, ani. The grape analogy confirmed it.

And yes, lilac bushes do grow here. Had beautiful bushes where I grew up.

Wisteria say "the South" to me! My grandmother had them vining all over any structure that would support them! I wonder if anyone in my family has pictures . . . I can clearly see it in my mind but I have no idea if any of us ever thought about capturing those luscious blooms on film . . .
