YOU BETTER NOT!!! I'll just miss knowing you aren't right across town anymore
Awe shucks, well, if you'd like, we can just pretend I'm still at the lake. After all, I'll be dreaming of it since I won't have that luxury in Maryland.
There is absolutely no legitimate reason why these liberal judges keep handing out suspended sentences, probations, and plea deals. We need to vote in judges that will throw the book at these clowns and are not afraid to OVERHAUL our Mecklenburg County court system. THE LAW NEEDS TO BE LAID!!!
I am doing my personal research on judges right now, and believe me when the time comes I'll let my opinions on whose too liberal be known

hahahahahahaha - good idea - I'll just forget you ever moved - selective memory is such a useful tool
ani - It just seems to me that the only way you'd see substantial jail time here is to blow up the BoA building and kidnap Pat McCrory, and I'm not so "sure" about that! How many times have I read about a drunk driver with his 14th charge of DWI causing an accident? I'm sure the people of Charlotte will eventually get to the point of "enough is enough", but they seem to have a rather high boiling point. Sometimes, I think the whole political process here, reminds me more of an episode of HBO's "Deadwood" than a 21st century city!
I am trying to find out about sentencing guidelines. I have also tried to contact the DAs office but no reply from anyone over there. I have not even gotten a reply concerning the "no solicitation ordinance" from another thread. I guess I am going to have to set aside a day and just go to city hall and do a face to face.
Eh...corruption with the taxes up north or corruption with the judicial system down here. I'll take my chances of up north. At least I'll stand a chance of living longer in order to pay the taxes.
Brian - As far as living longer to pay your NJ taxes - your "immortality" is assured! I prefer having extra money to live "better" and like the idea of being able to defend myself in the method I choose, rather than having to depend on the "Dunkin' Donuts" inhabitants.

I caught the thief while taking things from the house. He made it clear to me that I had better get out of his way, and that the things he was carrying now belonged to him. He backed out of the driveway (after loading his car) across the lawn. I had a great description of him, his car, the license plate, etc. I spent every day for the next two weeks getting the police to go look for this rat.
My mistake was this: I let him go. If this ever happens again, I will not let the rat go, no matter what it takes. There is no such thing as "just" a robbery, or "just" a car theft. It takes a little of your freedom away, makes you look over your shoulder, makes you spend tons of money on security systems to defeat the rats, etc. whether you want it to or not, whether you admit it or not. One last thing, these are NOT "kids" or "children". They are criminals, and need to be treated as criminals, regardless of age. I see someone wants to spank them...ok by me as long as it's with a two by four. Personally, I regard them as more than criminals--I believe they are Urban and Sub-urban terrorists, and just as with every terrorist, I don't really give a damn what happens to them, or even why they do what they do.
If you don't like this post, or think it's too rough, try sleeping when you wonder if the rat will come back to your house, or makes you a vicitm of ID theft, and all the crap you have to go through to fix or prevent it.
As for whether or not it's right or wrong to take action against a thief, I believe this: Everything on this earth is owned by someone...you can acquire things with the owners permission, often by borrowing or buying. If you attempt to take something without permission, you risk a confrontation with the owner, and if in that confrontation you get hurt, or even worse, it's your own fault.

Yeah but just look at the threads. You can't even find work around here to be able to afford the supposed cheaper living. But that's thread jacking so I'll just end it here.
