Not during rush hour. Closer to 45. And if you would be happy at BV, you'd be happy in Concord. But obviously its your choice.

Teachers aren't paid near as much as up north. We are retired so the lower tax base works for us. Following others on this forum, some parents opt for private schools. Going to Charlotte anywhere from around here is going to be a chore although the new toll lanes might make things for faster when they open this summer. A lot of debate about that. If you ever drove on Rt. 80 during rush hour though I think Rt. 77 is better, just my opinion. I believe you can get more house for your money in Denver. You have to weigh whats important for you and go from there.
I'm used to being in traffic on the parkway, 287, 80 etc so I figured it cannot be worse than that! I think it really depends on my job because they took away remote work and are forcing people to move there, so that is my main concern.

Take a look at Verdict Ridge Golf and Country Club in Denver a great place to live.Coming from CT. 30 minutes outside of Manhattan we feel we are close enough but far enough away from anything we want to do.

Yeah I see you can literally buy a new home to be built up there..most of the area looks nice. I know it is far from Charlotte but after what happened last summer I would be comfortable not being close to the city

Been looking in Denver because it seems nice up there (did a little research house hunting 2 years ago) I am not a "city" person, so I like to be out in the suburbs
I don't know where you currently live, but do you realize that much of south Charlotte "feels" just like Manalapan or Marlboro?

Better to live inside of Charlotte, and close to work, IMHO.

Just to add some clarity on travel times from Denver, both rush hour and non-I travel all over the metro for work.
Obviously any accidents add time but really overall not too bad but it is getting worse. Been living in Denver since 2004 and am glad we chose it over Concord or SE Meck.
Mooresville-50/25 via Hwy 150
Birkdale-30/15 via Hwy 73
CLT Airport-40/30 via Hwy 16/485
Uptown-45/30 via Hwy 16
Matthews-60/40 via Hwy 16/485
Fort Mill-50/30 via Hwy 16/485/77
Gastonia-40/30 via Hwy 16/485/85

Denver isn’t that bad of a commute in and out of Uptown Charlotte. You’ll mainly only experience congestion around the 485/16 interchange during rush hour. Otherwise it’s a reasonable drive.
