OP isn't working Uptown.

Since Carnegie Blvd is in South Park maybe you could consider Ft Mill or Indian Land. Not are just across the state line in S.C. From Denver using NC16 and I77 to South Park is probably an hour.

In the finest tradition of confusing street names in Charlotte, there is a Carnegie Blvd. in the SouthPark area, but TIAA is located on Andrew Carnegie Blvd. near UNC-C.

Denver-area Lincoln County schools are consistently rated above average to excellent. Especially the elementary and middle schools. The high schools (East or North) are more average on most ratings sites. But, again, those are just ratings...your experience may vary.

I do agree there are better locations for the OP from a commute perspective.

Please remember that every person’s ideal for what makes a good school is subjective. I have many clients in the Denver area who are quite pleased with the schools. While some websites can provide you with the data on the schools, nothing beats an in person visit so that you can get a true feel. There are also several charter school options. You can get more for your money house wise in Denver, but it has become more competitive as well. The I77 traffic will hopefully get better after the completion of the highway toll road, but that remains to be seen. Many people choose to move North to Mooresville due to the change in taxes which can be significant from Mecklenburg although based on my clients yesterday moving from NJ, they found our taxes to be so significantly less that it didn’t seem to matter. I’d suggest an in person visit to the schools in a few areas, as you will likely be able to tell which one feels more comfortable for your kids. Welcome to NC!
