Yea, we had been down there in January when we were first making our decision.

We will be renting for a year in Ballantyne (so we can become familiar with the area and make sure we are happy etc) and then hopefully we'll look to buy. SouthPark and Ballantyne are very well kept and we both young professionals, no kids and it seems to have much to do. Would you recommend any other areas?

When looking online there are beautiful homes in Waxshaw and Steele Creek but they seem too "rural" for us but they are very nice as well.

Blakeney(newer) just outside of Ballantyne and down Park Rd. towards Woodlawn(older, more established) would be good considerations too.
