I have been meaning to check out Beauty Brands in Ballantyne. Do any of you shop there? Great selection? I see they have OPI . . . and also many of the hair products I have used.

Would appreciate opinions. If you have another place you prefer for buying your hair and nail products, please tell me!

Looking for shops w/in 8 miles or so of S. CLT. Thanks for any opinions and advice!

Thank you, NewB! A good recommendation from you really means a lot to me! I am thinking about running over there today . . . icky weather - might as well go stock up on goodies, LOL!!! I am out or running low on quite a few items. And need my OPI fix! I am out of "I'm Not Really a Waitress." And my sister was wearing this odd darker color and I wonder - do I have the nerve???

Hi, Travling! Do they have different brands than BB? Or about the same? Do you like it better b/c of selection, prices or staff? I really appreciate the insight.

Ulta is about twice as big and has twice the selection. Lots of upscale stuff too. Like I went to Beauty Brands to buy a hairdryer (they had 4). Ulta had 21 hairdryers alone.

I agree..Ulta is bigger with a better selection over Beauty Brands. I used to shop only at BB until Ulta came to our part of town. Plus there are coupons in the Sunday paper most of the time. They have a rewards card there like BB.

Well, ladies, I ran over to BB b/c they had a deal on OPI - buy $17 I think it is - and get a free bottle of ChipSkip. So since I needed to re-stock on two colors . . . made sense to run over there. However, now I am intrigued about Ulta - so will check them out next!

Thank you, Travlng and BBBmom for the new suggestion - NewB - looks like we are gonna have to expand our shopping habits and try Ulta!!!
