We are moving down to Matthews on Friday and are looking for a place to have Christmas dinner. Does anyone have any recommendations? I usually make a nice meal but because we will be unpacking, I would like to have someone else cook for us. Thanks.

Besides the occasional Chinese Restaurant, the only restaurant I am aware of that is accepting reservations for Christmas Day is McCormick & Schmick's at their Southpark location. Better call right away if you are interested:
704/442-5522. Good luck with your move, and Merry Christmas!

Congratulations on your new home!

I know so little about Charlotte but on Thanksgiving we ate at the Red Rock Cafe, and it was delightful! Maybe give them a call ...

Also, hotels usually serve dinner on holidays, right? Maybe you can look into hotels that have restaurants.

Let us know what you find.

Good luck!

Always look to your major hotels for Christmas Dinners, ie. Hyatt, Marriott, etc.

Best Regards,

The Monticello Restaurant at the Dunhill Hotel (Tryon and Fifth Streets, Uptown) is now accepting Christmas dinner reservations. Their food is wonderful! My parents and I go there every Sunday for breakfast, the food is fantastic and it's only a five minute walk from my condo.

Also, I know the Westin will be having Christmas brunch, and their brunches are always outstanding.

Lastly, Patou French Bistro (corner of East Blvd and Scott in Dilworth area) has a big sign outside right now, that they are serving a traditional French as well as American Christmas cuisine, accepting reservations on the 'Eve as well as Christmas day. Might want to try that out!

James,

Don't tempt me ... I've lead my family to believe that I would cook Christmas dinner. Now here you go giving me options.

Your suggestions are much appreciated!!!!
