I'm trying to call about my claim and I've gotten this most ominous operator message:

"All circuits are busy, will you please try again later".

I filed back on June 6 and had my claim processed and my benefit explained to me. I also had an active issue - a question about my eligibility. I was told it would take a couple of weeks. A couple turned into a month and then 6 weeks and now almost 8. Still no word and I got yelled at by one of the operators for calling to check on the status. I have burned through my savings and am starting to get really worried about finances. Is this kind of thing common? I am a first time filer, but I never imagined you might have to wait months to collect unemployment.

It is not in common . Best way to get things addressed is to talk to a person and hopefully get to know a particular person so you are dealing with one person and you know how how responsive they are and what kind of attitude you have as a person.
Go to your local office instead of just waiting......
