There is a nikko's that is really good somewhat near you. We went there a couple of times.

We go to a tiny place here called Sushi Ya, in fact it has been awhile. I am craving a crazy roll!

I like RuSan's. They have an extensive sushi menu with tons of specialty rolls. It's also pretty cheap. 2440 Park Rd in Charlotte, NC

I've heard this place is awesome. Ru San's I stay away from. Sushi 101 at Park Rd and Woodlawn is very close to South Park and very good, imo.

Groove...you don't like RuSans?? Albeit it's not the classiest of places. I think for relatively cheap sushi the place is really good!! Sushi 101 is also good but, I don't think their menu is as extensive.

It's not one of the cleanest places either...For a while they were repeatedly getting grades in the 70s and 80s. One of the things they were often caught doing was serving non-sushi grade salmon...it was just like raw salmon you would by at the store. Sushi places have to be clean...very clean to me. While their grades have improved recently, I still wouldn't eat there.

I went to the seafood restaurant in Phillips Place, and the sushi was worse than the worst, cheapest sushi I've ever had in NYC. I hope that better sushi exists in Charlotte.

No...I don't eat sushi buffets ever. (Too many unwashed hands touching food) I like my food prepared to order. I was there when they had the buffet and it looks like they have a decent selection. The buffet didn't look huge though.
