Default Why are people still moving to Mooresville/Lake Norman

With all the negative things that are posted about Mooresville & the entire Lake Norman area I have to ask. Why are people still flocking to your area? Most of the posts from 2007/2006 are pretty much positive. However the posts from later 2007 into 2008 are really negative. People dont like the NYers, your schools appear to be over crowded and everyone complains about the traffic and a recent post I read was the taxes. But there are still people posting about moving there. What gives? Something must still be very special in your area. Please let us know.

I must have missed these posts, LOL!!! I am a native and have family in Mooresville . . . and this is a super area! I have nothing bad to say about it. There are some challenges w/ traffic at times. Don't know what you are referring to with "negative" comments.

I don't think Mooresville schools are any where near as crowded as CMS...

Traffic is really the only sticky point. Of course, that is all of Charlotte metro.

I think you were probably reading posts from the vocal minority who have to complain about everything. We've been in Mooresville for 5 years and it's just fine. As mentioned above, the town is developing and traffic can be dicey at times. It's not hard at all to avoid most of it.

I am trying to think of threads that put down the Lake Norman area if they are any they are just jealous of the good life

It is the safest and prettiest area of Charlotte - The lake is amazing and traffic is bad everywhere.

People are flocking to there because they want a better life. The schools are over crowed through out the whole state of NC. The people who run these schools should take things into account and build more schools instead of squeezing in too many kids.

Also, I think that Charlotte has alot to offer. It's really grown in the 9 years since I left there. You will find all sorts of opinions, however, you know what is best for yourself.
Good Luck on your move.
