I have a friend who is having a problem with Anaheim Homes. At this time, he is owed over $32,000 for granite countertop installations!

I lived in Florida before signing for my new house. On my visit to inspect prior to acceptance, I noticed that the builder used the wrong brick that looked awful. I told him that it was totally unacceptable and would have to be corrected before I buy the place. He tore down the old brick and replaced it. A month later (January), I came back to Cornelius and accepted the house and purchased it.
It is now June and my wife and I are defendants in a case involving the brick. It seems that the builder didn't pay the brick company and there is a disagreement as to who screwed up. Nevertheless, it was all before I bought the house so it isn't or shouldn't be my problem. Seems that during the closing, Anaheim said that there were no liens on the house and the brick company decided to sue Anaheim after we moved in which makes my wife and I defendants. This is all I need!! I have had to stay on top of these people continuously and still have not finished the punch list after five months. They use cheap labor, materials, and manage by avoidance. The area has not been built up as we were told it would be and the landscaping isn't anything as indicated on the brochures. Generally, it looks pretty pathetic. The rep. avoids us lie the plague and the real estate agents are now keeping their distance from us as well. I understand they are running out of money, but I don't care. I paid cash and expect to get good treatment. I hope that your friends have good luck at getting their money back. |

Our company paid for and installed the stone on 2 of their houses last year. They signed a contract and everything. Well here it is July 31,2008 and we still havent been paid the 12,000.00+ that they owe us. They would avoid our calls, so we strated faxing letters to them. We never heard anything from them. We took out liens on both of the houses, and still havent heard from them. we dialed the numbers for them again today and guess what? The number has been disconected, and website is no longer up.

I have found it unbelievable that the main boss for Anaheim has gone back to Pakistan or Toronto. I have not seen him for two months. He has not responded to letters, messages or anything. I paid cash for my house and expect better. The road behind my garage is eroding away and I can't contact anyone to repair it.. I am going to pursue this issue with the BBB and the state real estate board. The real estate agent from ReMax gave me lots of information on the subdivision that did not happen as was scheduled and I was misrepresented in many other ways. Guess I should have been smart enough to have bought from a local builder that had an established reputation instead of a foreigner? Just when I thought I was getting smart?

I am so concerned about this builder and these comments; I have a client looking to buy from them in Winding Forest. One of their agents (listing) says they are reputable and though they have leins these will be cleared up at closing. So many builder are stretched right now and it's not uncommon to be juggling payments and bills trying to stay afloat until this market situation improves (we are anticipating soon!). But you at least want to hear that they are trying to do the right thing and at least communicating, making partial payments, etc. Please keep the comments coming so I can help my clients make the best decision!!

Cindy, I paid cash for my house. When I paid money to have it built, I was given a brochure that indicated that the surrounding area would be landscaped beautifully and that the roads would be properly paved and that the punch list would be completed in 30 days. They were all lies. I have been promised window screens for five windows for eight months and still don't have them. I have not been kept up to date on whether Anaheim has paid for the bricks used to build my house. I am still a defendent in the case as far as I know. The company totally sucks. I will never buy from a bunch of foreigners again that are out of the country more than in. But, I must say that I do love the house after being on their @sses constantly. Oh yes, our landscape engineer is a Mexican with a machete.

My company has sent an invoice every month for the last 4 months and heard nothing. This is in addition to weekly phone calls. We are owed over $3500.00 for plumbing on three houses. All of which are in Harrowgate. Guess I'm in the same boat as everyone else on this matter. Bandibadji, I think I know you and your situation. I believe we've met before.

I believe we did meet. Are you the guy that looked at my lift pump one day when Mike (the Iranian) was there? Mike isn't around any more, and Jack (the Pakistani) has had his phone disconnected. His house here in Harrogate is up for rent. If you want his address, let me know. ReMax at the Lake is renting the place. Good luck. This idiot is going to run away good all of the good repair people. I will certainly call you if I have problems. I pay my debts. LOL. Good luck
