A friend of mine from out of state sent me this and asked if Charlotte's light rail had reached this level of use w/ gas prices up. This is a clip from Japan. Thank goodness our light rail is not run this way!!!

Ridiculous!
Gas is $3.41 in Baltimore today. Is it about the same in Charlotte?

That's pretty hilarious! I don't think I'd be too happy with that though...

It must smell *special* in that train car too.

I don't know how in the heck you could get off at your stop, do everyone step off and repeat the process of packing it in as sardines.

DH got it for $3.28 in SC today (we are near the SC border). He says the gas station closest to our house had it for $3.43 today. He takes our cars to SC to get them washed and fill them up. The pollen has been terrible and it has drizzled so the water mixes w/ the pollen and makes a very sticky mess on our cars. (But things are blooming here and so pretty - just have to work around the pollen!!)

I had not even thought of that! Do they all get off - and then the ones needing to go further down the line - all pack back on again? Crazy!!!

Did you notice how quiet everyone was? Here in the USA - push me like that and I would be screaming!!! But it appeared the pax wanted to be on the train and were compliant w/ all the shoving!!!

I don't know about you, Loves, but I think we Americans take so much for granted! I bet this is the only way these people can get to work and look how compliant and quiet they are. They are willing to be squished like sardines! And here . . . we have our cars and we complain about gas prices (myself included!!) but we also has mass transportation that we choose not to use (again, myself included).

Makes our light rail look like a luxury first class trip after seeing this!!!
