Did anyone go to the job fair at the Charlotte Covention Center today? It was a bit disorganized. I don't if others felt as pressed for time as I did. Some schools were setting up interview appointment times which was great but others were just interviewing as they progressed through the people waiting on the line. This caused many conflicts because I felt that I kept calculating the time that I had until my next interview appointment while waiting on long lines that were interviewing on the spot. The local news claimed that attendance was approximately 5000 Maybe they weren't as disorganized as I think, now that I've heard that!

Yes, I did attend the job fair today at the convention center. I did feel that there were so many schools to visit with, but by the time I was done standing in one line, I was too tired to stand in the next, but I had to in order to find a job. I wish I had worn more comfortable shoes, all the walking and standing was very tough. However I did get a job out of it so I am very happy, and I hope you were successful as well. I did miss out on the benefits session, and hopefully will hear more when I am contacted to follow up with paperwork for the position I accepted today.

Congrats! What position did you get? I had 4 interviews some of which seem promising. I don't want to get my hopes because I'm sure there were many qualified people to fill the Middle School Math positions. We'll see ... it'd be great to know that I have a job lined up for September

EC Teacher at the high school level I was told by several that they would be in touch, many said, after I stood in lines for the longest, "Oh we just filled that position". I was starting to get a little nervous, but things worked out for me and I am sure that they will for you was well.

Don't worry, there are more jobs than there are qualified people to fill them. CMS will begin the year with subs in many positions. If you did not get an offer yet, you will. By the way, Union County has their job fair the Friday, the 25th, at Central Academy of Technology and Arts.

Not K-12 schools. CPCC, UNCC, and SPCC do for college age.

I was hoping to hear that some high schools do have CJ programs similar to Georgia where the programs are actually called Public Safety instead.
