ROFL - yes, I am the final word on all things that have to do w/ over the counter meds, Hee Hee. We sure have bought enuff of them over the years.
But after I wrote my "tips" I started worrying . . .

Just didn't want anyone to think I was a healthcare professional. <does that make me a healthcare un-professional????>

This is our first spring here as well. Many people gave us the warning to start taking allergy medications early. I'm glad we did, we started the first week of March and take Claritan on a daily basis. This has helped me and my daughter tremendously, it would've been much worse if he we didn't start a preventive. So far the allergy season has not affected our asthma (we are mild asthma sufferers). I would do the same preventive before the fall starts.

When we first closed on the house in December, we stayed for about three weeks and then returned to NY (awaiting a job for hubby...long story). During our stay our eight year old daughter who has never had any allergy to anything came into the room that I was painting and said, "Mommy, my eyes hurt". This was the understatement of a lifetime, she looked like a Klingon for Star Trek!!! They were blown up really bad and pretty much almost closed shut.

We gave her Benadryl and it helped immediately. Now that we live here officially for a month, during allergy season I was waiting, but nothing. I still have no idea what it was!
However my three year old nephew who lives next door....his eye is blowing up everyday and we have no idea why. My sis says her allergist says that she is allergic to NC hahaha! Good luck!

On another note...you said 13 yr old boy!! What does he do for fun and recreation. I am desperate for my daughter to occupy her free time Our neighborhood is like a ghost town, brand new and no one is her age!
