Loves: Has the CMPD ever had a open house for police officers...Miami-Dade county did that a last year, they hired over 500 officers.

I am all for adding more Cops...but it takes MONEY! How are they suppose to hire more cops when their budget is probably stretched to the max? Higher property taxes? I have no problem with that...personally.

My understanding is that every academy class has a waiting list - the city can only hire so many new officers per year.

But CPCC uptown is soooo much worse than UNCC when it comes to crime.

Im gonna buy a $500 automobile, keep it parked in my drive way and leave a small radio on whenever im not home to make sure i dont have any home invasions. Ofcourse install alarm...keep my car empty all the time (avoid car break-in)

Someone was telling me that its actually hard to get a job as a cop in charlotte.... because of what Loves said. Blows my mind.

Let me ask? Does the North Carolina Highway Patrol Hang around the city. In miami Florida Highway Patrol Hangs around the city because there are a lot that live in and around miami.
