My dad has a job opportunity for Wachovia
I am 13, and my dad has a job opportunity to work for Wachovia. The areas we're looking at are called Myers Park, and Providence. If anyone lives there I have some questions. Thanks.

I don't live there, but they are considered some of the nicest, if not THE nicest places in Charlotte.
On a side note, you write very well for a 13 year old.

Are you concerned with the schools? Those areas provide great schools. Are you worried about the neighborhoods. Please feel free to update your post with a few specific questions.

Myers Park
Myers Park is one of the Older sections but
VERy nice because the trees are larger/taller from being more established.
sort of like Hollywood or Bevery Hills in California.
Providence area is much newer, more modern. Both are nice areas except Myers Park is the only GOOD high school system inside Charlotte city.
Most everyoneliving IN Charlotte send their children to private schools as the rest is not considered having good schools.
South Charlotte however is GREAT and every weekend there are FREE BANDS
playing at every outdoor mall which is almost every mile or so.
Very nice. If you want my son is 15 and I can have him write you as well

Thank you all so much I didn't think that many people would respond. One of my concerns is that we're jewish. Is there a large community in either providence or myers park? Which school district is better? Which one is more expensive?

Yes, there's a very big, nice JCC right down Providence Rd from Myers Park/Eastover. Very close. Eastover is another neighborhood that's right next to Myers Park and is also considered established and nice, best schools, etc. Your dad would be very close to work at Wachovia. A lot of Wachovia top execs live in Eastover.

Right now my dad has no commute (he works at home) so a small commute would be important to him.
