Never heard of that one although I lived in Montgomery County, MD for 30 years, but you can get that by mail order too, if you can't find it locally.

OK, TY.

I know I saw it in supermarkets in the Baltimore metro area, when I worked in Owings Mills. I'll bring some with me. It's incredible when you make fried potatoes.

OMG, I lived in Montgomery County Md. for the last 22 years. Mind if I ask where? Back to thread........ I've had Old Bay steamed shrimp from Lowes twice now and they have been excellent. They steam them for you while you shop in the spice of your choice. (garlic, cajun, lemon, etc...)

I lived in Mont. Co. also, for about 8 years. Parents still do. Can't say I miss too much, beyond crabs and cherry blossoms!

I lived in Norbeck (Rockville). Where are your folks? Untill today, the only thing I missed was my friends, now I would kill to sit and eat crabs with a pitcher of cold beer on a table covered w/ brown paper and a roll of paper towels. Boooooo Hooooooo. (and since I'm having a pity party... my refrigerator is broken and the only beer I have is room temp!)
Tomorrow is another day.

Nope, you're not the only one. My parents are still in Timonium, so when we visit in the summer, they like to treat us (they also like to tease us when we can't get up there.)

BTW, Lowes Food does a very nice job steaming the shrimp w/ Old Bay down here.
You can find OLD BAY at the local grocery stores. It took many, many years before they'd stock it, but I think I've seen it at all the big local stores and even a huge container at Costco. I used some last night when I made baked chicken tenders.

BTW, Harris Teeter and Super Wal-mart are now carrying Utz Crab Chips. I'll fight you for 'em, though.

Darnestown, so not too far. We also lived in Bethesday for a few years. All this talk of crabs reminded me of Utz's crab chips, and then they turned up a few posts later! And, IMO, no beer is better than room temp beer. So I'd wait on that one. Do you have any ice you can pack it in for a desperate situation? On second thought, if you don't have a working fridge, a working freezer is probably out of the question.

Funny you should mention it.......... My freezer was working!!! They are separate (sub-zero?). So.. I put a warm Heini in the freezer and didn't get to it in time. So I had a lil explosion. I gave up and broke out the red wine!!!!
Fridge guy is on his way w/ much awaited part and I'm still hoping for the sun to come out so I can go get some crab legs. I've never heard of Utz's crab chips, but you can bet I'll be looking for them.
P.S. Loved hanging in Bethesda before the kids were born. Remember the cinema and draft house??? How bout Durty Nellies? I'm such a geezer!
