Default Indian Trial/Annondale

Thanks to everyone for posting useful information about the area. However I do have a few questions maybe some of you could help me with. My current situation is this. I live in Orange County New York. I live in a small rural town next to farms etc. We just purchased a home in Indian Trial. We are in the Annondale community. My wife is a teacher and will be starting this summer. However I currently do not have a job. I just posted on Monster and all the usual places. I am currently a network administrator (I.T field) Here are my questions

How is the job market for IT?
Any good headhunters in the area?
What do you like best about Indian Trail?
What do you dislike about Indian Trail?

Thank you so much everyone.
Vic

I grew up just 1 mile from where your new neighborhood is located and now just live 3 miles from there just inside Monroe. I love that area. There will be a new school built across the main entrance from Bonterra, right beside you. That area has easy access to Matthews/Mint Hill/485 and there are many options to travel that way... not just one heavily driven road. What I dislike are all the new neighborhoods . Just kidding on that one. There has not been anything that I dislike about that area. The taxes to me are getting to high, but not anywhere near what you are used to paying in NY. It is just a far cry from what I used to pay when I first purchased a home (not that long ago). Not sure about the IT field because I am not in it. Sorry. Glad to have you as a neighbor!

Thanks for the reply. One of our old NY neighbors moved down there a few years ago and has talked us into it. She had a very interesting this to say about the taxes. She said vote no for tax increase. Even though it is not near what you were use to pay. Where I live now my taxes were 3500. Now they are 10,000. It was all the newcomers who voted yes on taxes. I wont make that mistake again.

Again, thank you.

I live in the community "next door" and we really love the area- very close to 485 to get to Matthews or Ballantyne. I love seeing the goats, horses, and donkeys. It's nice on Friday night to "be on scene" in Ballantyne and spend a quiet Saturday around the "farms". It's very quaint. :-) I know it won't stay this way for long- new mall is being built just a few miles away in Mint Hill (Cheesecake Factory- Lookout!).
