Remember the infamous car chase and the three brazen thugs who laughed as they were being taken to jail?

Well, turns out they were in a halfway house and had been let out on a pass - to go find jobs.

So much for trying to work w/ these guys. They don't WANT a job!!! They had 19 prior convictions b/n the three of them. Why on earth were they allowed out into society in a halfway house??? And given a pass for unsupervised time for a supposed "job search???" Is it me, or is this past ludicrous?

Must be the influence of those liberal New Southerners. Nevermind they're not worthy of that title, lets just call them Yankees.

Sorry to correct you my friend - these 2 30-somethings aren't the ones who did the car chase you are talking about, that was ANOTHER car chase - those were a couple of 17 and 18 year olds. What these two did does boggle the mind though - they were about to be released for pete's sake, all they had to do was secure jobs and there were let out with a pass to do that. Instead they commited a robbery. The best thing about it though is that now they are in FEDERAL custody and should see some real time. People who rob banks must be the dumbest crooks ever - federal crimes carry much stiffer prison sentences.

Oh no Ani, they have jobs. Their jobs are robbing, stealing, and being a drain on society. Seriously, why so many chances? At some point enough is enough, yes we need to stop the hug a thug campaign and go with the lock them up attitude instead.

Yep, you are right. Got my thugs mixed up. Dern. There are so many of them, LOL. Thanks for setting that straight, Loves.

Yeah, these dudes are bank robbers and they did lead police on a chase, but not the same thugs I had in mind.

How many of these guys are out there??? Can't we just round 'em all up and ship 'em off to some island somewhere? Like - Alcatraz?????

They do these crimes because they know "if" they get caught... it means nothing. Most criminals are not going to seek employment because if they are honest, no one would hire them. The cycle of poverty and crime is hard to break. Slapping them on the wrist for the 15th time loses it effect pretty early on for criminals. An eye for an eye?

ROFL!!! Any liberal New Southerners will shortly figure out why the natives are such hardasses about crime here, LOL. We have seen first hand - hug-a-thug doesn't work.

And btw - you know my motto - Have you hugged a Yankee today? (My DH is a Yankee, LOL).
